Modification in Radiotherapy

Radiation therapy (RT) in its various forms-external beam RT (EBRT), low dose rate radioisotope and radioimmunotherapy (RIT), and brachytherapy-is a mainstay of cancer treatment. Even in the post-human genome era, which has seen intensive research into molecularly-targeted cancer therapeutics, it is estimated that about 40% of cancer cures are attributable to RT.
