Treatment of Spinal Cord Injuries

It is important to understand the pathophysiological events that take place following an SCI in which there is deposition of edema and blood that routinely occurs rapidly after injury within the SC. This is the result of leakage of edema and blood through the porous endothelial lining of damaged capillaries located mainly in the central grey matter of the SC.
