Despite latest advances in the ability to predict recurrence of breast cancer by assays which utilize mRNA transcripts of genes related to proliferation capacity at the molecular level, questions still remain regarding a tumor's likelihood to metastasize at the whole cellular level, and whether this potential is based upon genetic propensity and /or interaction with the environment?
