Chinese Medicine Impact Factor

The relationship between disease, syndrome and formula is thought to be one of the most significant problems in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinical and basic practice. Syndrome is not only the core of TCM basic theory and syndrome differentiation, but also the bridge linking disease and formula, the essence of which is a classification according to subjective symptom and objective sign collected by physician through inspection, auscultation-olfaction, interrogation and palpation. In China, further researches on the standardization and clarifying essence of syndromes were carried out in recent decades. The research work mainly consists of diagnostic criteria, distribution, evolutional laws, and biological basis of syndrome. There are several chinese medicine journals with standard impact factors. Impact Factor of a journal is calculated by measuring the average number of times the articles published in a particular journal is cited in the recent years. Impact factor reflects the importance of a particular journal with respect to other journals. Impact factor is calculated based on the average number of citations a paper published in a particular journal receives in a span of two years. Impact factor of a particular journal is used to compare the quality and standards of the journals.
