Cirrhosis Scholarly Journal

Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Scholarly journals serve as forums for the introduction and presentation for scrutiny of new research, and the critique of existing research. Content typically takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews. The term Scholarly journal applies to scholarly publications in all fields; this article discusses the aspects common to all academic field journals. Cirrhosis is a disease related to the liver which is characterized by loss of liver cells which is replaced by fibrosis. The major causes of cirrhosis are alcohol and viral hepatitis B and C. It can be diagnosed by liver biopsy. The slowly progressing disease in which healthy liver tissue is replaced with scar tissue, eventually preventing the liver from functioning properly is termed as liver cirrhosis. The scar tissue blocks the flow of blood through the liver and slows the processing of nutrients, hormones, drugs, and naturally produced toxins. It also slows the production of proteins and other substances made by the liver. The relationship between liver and blood plays a vital role in maintain bodys various functions. However, in cirrhosis this relation between blood and liver gets affected further leading to many other complications.
