Some eyes problems are minor and can be easily treated but some can lead to permanent loss of vision. Common eye diseases include- conjunctivitis, cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, hyperopia and myopia, color blindness. Conjunctivitis also called pink eye in which there is redness, swelling and itching in the eye, cataract which is a normal part of ageing and can be treated. In cataract there is a gradual clouding of the clear lens of the eye which results in a blurry or hazy image, and the eyes develop sensitivity to light. Innovations are new idea, device or process.
