Cavum Septi pellucid (CSP), a cavity in the middle of the laminae of the septum pellucidum, for a longer period has been stated as an anomaly of the brain midline, associated with neuropsychiatric diseases, typically schizophrenia, but also posttraumatic stress disorder. The main criterion for the choice of brain suitability for the studies were the absence of macroscopic changes on brain parenchyma and that time of death did not exceed 12 hours.
