Virology journals mainly include virus related information or research articles. Basically study of viruses is known as virology. The main focus are structure of virus, classification of virus, evolution of virus, the ways by which they enter host, reproduction of viruses, disease caused by them.

This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
