Boron Neutron Capture Therapy

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy is a novel technique which is developed in order increase the specificity and target the therapy only to cancer cells and to safe-guard the normal cells. This technique uses boron isotope 10 which has more affinity for cancer cells and as soon as this isotope is taken, it accumulates in the cancerous tissue. This is then exposed to irradiation to the tumor cells by neutrons where boron isotope tends to absorb low energy neutron and short-range alpha an lithium to the subsequent tissues which leads to the killing of cancer cells. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
