Boron Neutron Capture Therapy

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy is a novel technique which is developed in order increase the specificity and target the therapy only to cancer cells and to safe-guard the normal cells. This technique uses boron isotope 10 which has more affinity for cancer cells and as soon as this isotope is taken, it accumulates in the cancerous tissue. This is then exposed to irradiation to the tumor cells by neutrons where boron isotope tends to absorb low energy neutron and short-range alpha an lithium to the subsequent tissues which leads to the killing of cancer cells. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
