This is a novel technique to cure cancer which uses high-energy protons for the radiation. Protons have the ability to penetrate deep into the skin only in a specific area without affecting the superficial tissues such as skin, thus showing less side effects and ability to target a specific tissue. Nevertheless, this is still developing and is expensive and limited to treat only certain types of cancers.
