Pharmacology is drug action on living systems mainly pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics studies. Pharmacology find new targets, better drugability of the chemical and natural compounds, harnessing the updates of biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics and personilized medicine. Pharmacology is a journal dedicated to publish research articles in the area of Pharmacodynamics, Pharmacokinetics, AMDE studies of new drug, Toxicology studies, Drugability of the new Chemical and natural compounds and advanced fields like Pharmacogenetics, Pharmacogenomics, Pharmacoepidemiology and Environmental Pharmacology. Pharmacology and metabolic diseases such as diabetes, are among the leading, costliest, and often preventable causes of death worldwide. Research aimed at understanding the relationship between pharmacology disease, obesity, and metabolic risk factors, will be important for developing candidate therapeutic, reparative, and prevention strategies.
Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of metabolic and pharmacology physiology, and their interrelationship. This will include topics such as principle energy systems, appetite and energy expenditure, and pharmacology function and regulation, including the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and socioeconomic impact of cardiometabolic diseases, with an emphasis on the translation of basic scientific discoveries into practical applications.
