Pharmacology which is the branch of medicine and biology deals with the study of drug action in which psychiatric pharmacology deals with study of the drugs which have effect on thinking, mood, sensation and behavior. The drugs which effects nervous system are known as psychoactive drugs. Psychoactive drugs interact with particular receptors or target sites found in the nervous system to induce widespread changes in physiological or psychological functions. Scholarly journals are peer-reviewed journals in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Scholarly journals serve as forums for the introduction and presentation for scrutiny of new research, and the critique of existing research. Content typically takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews.
