There is a vast increase in scientific discoveries in different fields such as Physical medicine, rehabilitation etc. For spreading the information of these discoveries several journals related to to the particular field have been started. Among these journals International Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is publishing the papers related to physical medicine and rehabilitation. This journals follow peer review process for accepting the articles to be published. The articles received by these journals are reviewed by the experts in the particular topic of article. Based on the decision of reviewers the editors may suggest the author to revise the article or they may accept directly or reject it. Hence, the quality of the articles is being maintained by the journals. The quality of these journals can be estimated by impact factor. Impact factor is calculated based on the average number of citations a paper published in a particular journal receives in a span of two years. Impact factor for the new journals will be considered after two years of indexing. Impact factor for a journal in 2013 is calculated by Impact factor in 2013=A/B A= number of citations for the articles published during 2011 and 2012 B= Total number of articles published by that journal in 2011 and 2012
