Lyme borreliosis

Lyme disease is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the Borrelia type and is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks. These tiny arachnids are found in grassy and wooded areas. The typical symptoms include headache, fever, fatigue and erythema migrans which is itchy or painful.
