207 Squadron RAF Association

This squadron badge was signed by Edward VIII on May 1936. HM The Queen presented the Squadron Standard in and was also presented first by Reigning Sovereign. Every year they reunite mostly at Derby, England at the Midland Hotel. Sometimes they used to arrange a group visit. The Association was strongly involved in the establishment of memorials, to keep records of the persons killed and injured in a war. 207 Squadron suffered 977 killed, both aircrew and ground crew; 200 have no known grave. 171 others were Prisoners of War and 39 evaded capture. In 1997 Association's program dedicated Memorials to those who sacrificed their lives and freedom for others whilst serving with No.207 Squadron RAF. Many large and small memorials have been created for 207 Squadron crews in France, Denmark, Switzerland, and Belgium.
