Heart Failure

Heart failure can be caused due to many reasons like heart attack, coronary heart disease or high blood pressure. Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to receive the proper supply of oxygen through blood. It may occur due to narrowing of heart arteries that pump blood to the heart or high blood pressure due to which the heart become weak and is unable to pump blood in a proper way causing heart failure. The common symptoms of the heart failure include shortness of breath, fatigue and irregular rapid heartbeat as the heart is unable to pump the blood properly so the oxygen level decreases in the blood due to which the heart will beat rapidly to meet the oxygen demand hence there is shortness of breath. Heart failure can be chronic or acute. Heart failure can be diagnosed by Electrocardiogram, chest X-ray and blood tests. There is no treatment for the heart failure but symptoms can be controlled that help the person to live longer life.
