The human amnion epithelial cells (hAECs) resultant from term placenta are anatomically and histologically focused fetal epithelial cells and may keep the pluripotent assets of early epiblast cells. It has been exposed that hAECs have the potential to distinguish in vitro to three embryonic germ layers. Since it is rejected post partum and can be expanded extensively in culture. As an alternate source of stem cells, it may be useful for regenerative medicine and cell therapy.
