Skin Prick Test Scholarly Peer-review Journal

A common allergy test, Skin Prick Test (SPT), is a simple, safe and quick test. It requires about 15-20 minutes and gives a quick diagnosis and management plan. This test is done by introducing a small amount of allergen into the skin which leads to a localized allergic response. This may be in the form of a flare (redness) or wheal (bump) at the site of testing. SPT is safe to use on all age groups, including babies. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
