Despite the qualifications and experience with teaching Food and Nutrition( Anne trained as a Home Economics teacher and a Public Health Nutritionist) she believes she has learned the most valuable information on Nutrition when she became the parent to Shane her 9 year old son with DS.
Struggling with the early years of the Down syndrome world and related health conditions she has learned to relook at getting the basics of digestion working focusing on nourishing foods and has embraced the principles of functional nutrition as the way forward for our children. Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals
