Advances In Analytical Science

Advancements of Analytical science have profound direct impacts on developments in analytical chemistry and will hold the key to improvement of existing or new techniques at this time times and close to future. Applications of materials in analytical chemistry are reviewed, with specialize in sensors, separations and extraction techniques. Analytical chemistry is the study of the identification, separation and quantification of the chemical parts of artificial and natural materials. Qualitative analysis identifies the chemical species within the sample, and quantitative analysis determines the number of components exists within the substance. The separation of components is commonly performed before analysis. Analytical methods are divided in to two types namely classical and instrumental. Classical method (also called wet chemistry methods) use separations like extraction, precipitation and distillation and chemical analysis by color, odor, or temperature. Quantitative analysis is achieved by measurement of volume or weight. Instrumental method uses an equipment to measure physical quantities of the analyte like visible radiation, light absorption, or physical phenomenon. The separation of materials is accomplished using chromatography, electrophoresis or Field Flow Fractionation strategies.
