Hematology and Oncology though are separate fields can be studied combindly. The division of Oncology and hematology is interested in the diagnosis of all the cancers (malignancies) that occur in humans. The divisions of hematology and oncology physicians specialize in various types of cancers which include leukemia, breast, lung, lymphomas, pancreatic, gastric, brain cancer, melanoma, hepatocellular and solid tumors along with treatment of patients with blood disorders such as anemia, clotting problems and bleeding disorders. There are many treatments available which may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy along with radioimmunoconjugates and vaccines. Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
