In general population, rapid aging is parallel increasing with volume of elderly patients requiring anesthesia and surgery. Geriatric anesthesia involves with the study of anesthesia approaches in elderly. Anesthetic agents act more sensitively towards elderly patients. In order to achieve desired clinical effect less medication is usually more preferable. Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics aspects of anesthetic management also with the geriatric patients. Surgery to the Geriatric patients involves by checking the consequences and impact on common comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease on physiologic reserve.
