Hematology and Oncology though are separate fields can be studied combindly. The division of Oncology and hematology is interested in the diagnosis of all the cancers (malignancies) that occur in humans. The divisions of hematology and oncology physicians specialize in various types of cancers which include leukemia, breast, lung, lymphomas, pancreatic, gastric, brain cancer, melanoma, hepatocellular and solid tumors along with treatment of patients with blood disorders such as anemia, clotting problems and bleeding disorders. There are many treatments available which may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy along with radioimmunoconjugates and vaccines. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
