"A Bio crime is an Intentional act of assault directed at a person and is similar to an assault crime, is done using biological agents such as pathogen, viruses, bacteria, germs, toxins etc.
Indeed, today the capability to manipulate and disseminate pathogens has enhanced to a point where there is grave concern about the potential use of microbiological organisms to attack and cause serious harm to humans, animals, and plants. In addition to inflicting harm, bio criminals use microorganisms or toxins as weapons to invoke fear and affect economic well-being. Significant effort must be put forth to identify individuals who use such weapons and to prevent or minimize their ability to execute acts of bio crime. However, the use of a bioweapon in a criminal case should be taken as seriously as that of a bioterrorist attack. Once a bio crime is suspected, ensures that the clinical laboratory does not discard microbial isolates, but preserves them for forensic analyses or transfers them under a chain-of-custody procedure.
Open Access should be seen as a means of accelerating scientific discovery by providing free and unrestricted access of scientific knowledge via the Internet. An essential role of Open Access is the long-term preservation of peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles and research data. An Open Access publishing group focuses on to encourage innovation, socio-economic development, and flow of knowledge around the world. One such, Open Access is OMICS which is committed ultimately for public welfare to stimulate the growth of global science, as well as maintain the quality of scientific achievements at the same time. Bio crimes related articles are published in journal of bioterrorism and biodefense, this journal publishes quality manuscripts which has good impact on the society .
