A bioterrorism attack is the intentional release of microbes such as viruses, bacteria, or other germs (agents) used to cause illness or death in human beings, animals, or plants. These agents are found in nature, and also they can be altered to cause disease, make them resistant to current medicines, or to increase their ability to be spread into the environment. The most common example for bioterrorism is the anthrax causing bacteria, Bacillus anthracis, which is used for biological attack.
