Academic Journals In Cell Marker

Academic journals are periodicals in which researchers publish their findings, mostly the recent ones. Academic journals are typically peer-reviewed journals that publish theoretical discussions and articles that critically review already published work. Academic journals serve as an important forum for researchers and academicians from where they can access important information about recent developments in their field. These journals are the first choice for any in-depth examination of an issue related to science. Science as we know is scarcely imaginable without the academic journal. OMICS Group International Journals fall under the academic category as they strictly adhere to peer-review process and follow the format by publishing mostly the original work. OMICS International journals publish periodically and contain a series of articles in each published issue. OMICS Group International is successfully running 700+ peer-reviewed journals and organizing over 100 International Science Conferences annually with the support of 30, 000 editorial board members. OMICS Group International signed an agreement with more than 100 international societies to make health care information Open Access. Oncogenesis needs to be considered in its micro-environmental context; the micro-environment of cancerous and precancerous cells can enhance cell growth and contribute to metastasis. Moreover, the heterotypic interaction between cancer cells and cancer stroma is a crucial and, most importantly, a druggable feature of tumors. Hypoxia has emerged as a majortumor microenvironment feature linked with a more aggressive phenotype. Solid human cancers frequently express several hypoxic markers during their invasive growth phase, being HIF factors activation an early eventduring carcinogenesis. Tumor carbonic anhydrase IX (CA IX) is a transcriptional target of HIF; CA IX protein expression is strictly hypoxia regulated, and is considered as a marker of tumor hypoxia, frequently linked to high degree of tumor aggressiveness and resistance to therapy. In order to analyze the relationship between CA IX expression and the biological behavior of several malignant human tumors that differ for histogenesis and outcome, in our study we assessed the expression level of CA IX in selected series of tumors. The study was performed by immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. The statistical evaluation of our results let ushypothesize that the tissue overexpression of CA IX could be a promising marker of biological aggressiveness of solid human malignant tumors, especially when we analyzed it in combination with the expression of cancer stem cells markers.(Francesco Merolla, GennaroIlardi, Maria Fiammetta Romano, Nicola Zambrano, Maria Siano, Massimo Mascolo, Gaetano De RosaandStefaniaStaibano, Hypoxic signature and cancer stem cell marker expression as tumor biology predictors)
