Biopharmaceutics deals with the study of chemical and physical properties of pharmaceuticals, their components, and their activities in living organisms. Biopharmaceutics is the study of biopharmaceuticals, or therapeutic drugs that are produced using biotechnology. It is a discipline that studies the disposition of a drug in the body based on the drugââ¬â¢s physicochemical properties and their interaction with the biological platform, as related to the inception, duration, and intensity of drug action and mode of manufacturing and form of administration of a drug. A basic assumption of people in the pharmaceutical industry (>85% in survey), in the U.S., is that the biopharmaceutical is a part of pharmaceutical, i.e., the biopharmaceuticals are pharmaceuticals that are biological in nature and manufactured using biotechnology.
