Bioremediation is a waste management technique that involves the use of organisms to remove or neutralize pollutants from a contaminated site. Manufactured system which provides the biologically active environment is called as bioreactor. In this equipment we carry out the chemical reactions involving the organisms or biological substances. The processes occurring in the bioreactor may be aerobic or anaerobic.
