Bioelectronics in particular refers to the field of science that is determined to synergise the developments of biology and electronics whereas biosensors in an analytical device that is best used for the identification and characterization of an analyte. Bioelectronics like bio-fuel cells, bionics etc are being used in conjunction with various biosensor devices like blood glucose meter etc. Among various such examples, blood glucose biosensor utilizes the enzyme glucose oxidase to break down glucose in blood.
