"Bioterrorism is described as a criminal activity; it is performed with an intention of causing harm to the society and its people by intentional release of harmful biological agents such as bacteria, virus, toxins etc. The government has taken up several measures to protect their populations. The World Health Organization have implemented some of their resources to monitor epidemics .The US military had developed a specialized units, that can respond to a bioterrorist attack. The US Government agencies, has a Center for Disease Control which would be called on to respond to a bioterrorism incident this center included law enforcement, hazardous materials/decontamination units and emergency medical unit.
