Graves’ Disease

This is an immune system disorder that result in overproduction of hyperthyroidism. Although there are many disorders that lead to hyperthyroidism but the most common is Graves’ disease. The symptoms of Graves’ disease include Heat sensitivity, Anxiety, Weight loss, Enlargement of your thyroid gland, Change in menstrual cycles, bulging eyes etc. This disorder can be diagnosed by physical exam, blood sample, radioactive iodine uptake, imaging tests, ultrasound etc. Treatment includes control of thyroid hormone production.
