Crabs Biodiversity

The coastal ecosystems provide food and other resources, waste disposal, recreation and inspiration. The crustaceans are highly sensitive to pollution, and their distributions are strongly influenced by the physico-chemical parameters. Nutrients in coastal waters have caused a number of environmental problems, such as death of benthic fauna, decapod crabs occurrence of nuisance algal blooms, and the disappearance of seagrass and mangroves.
