Orbit is the boney socket that serves as a support to eye and its supporting structures. An oculoplastic surgery that focuses on the bones behind the eye socket is called as orbital surgery. Orbital surgeries are less common compared to oculoplastic or lacrimal surgery. Major orbital surgeries involve cases such as removal of orbital tumors, orbital abscesses and haematomas drainage, orbital exenteration etc. Orbital Bone Repositioning and orbital tumor removal are considered complex due to its delicate location and thus the process requires trained neurosurgical team.
