Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome

Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome also known as the job syndrome is a genetically inherited disease that affects the various parts of the body such as infections in lungs, teeth, bone, sinus and skin, as the name suggests the people suffering from this particular disease in their diagnosis show abnormally high level of IgE expression in their body. IgE (Immunoglobulin factor E) plays an important role in immune system against several types of allergies including skin allergy. The exact cause behind this over expression of IgE is still a topic of research but it is generally deduced that it may be an effect of a mutation along the pathway for production of the IgE.
