Agammaglobulinemia also known as bruton’s disease is an inherited immunodeficiency disorder it is caused by a mutated gene leading to inhibition of growth of B lymphocytes the result of which leads to low production of immunoglobulins within the body. The person suffering with this disorder (mainly males) is subjected to repeated attacks of infections. The infection site includes upper respiratory track, gastrointestinal track, lungs, joints and skin. Symptoms include frequent episodes of conjunctivitis, sinusitis and skin infections. the diagnosis mainly include the measure of immunoglobulin levels in the blood. Treatment primarily involves the reducing of the number of severity of infections and immunity booster in form of immunoglobulin injections.
