MultipleCognitive Disturbances

Multiple cognitive disturbances are associated with epilepsy, including impairments in attention, concentration, psychomotor speed, language, executive functioning and memory. Possibly as a result of a combination of these disorders, people with epilepsy (PWE) often complain about their everyday memory and memory deficits are frequently detected on formal neuropsychological evaluation. Many people with epilepsy ask for help to improve their memory, but until recently, few studies have collected empirical data to guide such remediation.
