Rosai-Dorfman Disease

Rosai-Dorfman Disease (RDD) is a non-cancerous histioproliferative disease of unidentified study, first defined by Rosaiand Dorfman. This disease causes consensual unproblematic enlarged cervical lymph nodes, fever, leukocytosis, Raised erythrocyte Sedimentation rate and hypergammaglobulinemia. Extra nodal participation is alleged to ensue in approximately 25% to 43% of cases, but isolated intracranial RDD with no systemic participation is extremely rare. It is naturally firmly involved to the dura mater and looks like meningioma in both clinical and surgical results .Meningioma regularly arises in middle-aged and older women, whereas RDD is more often seen in children and young adults and has a definite male predominance.
