The term arch pain is defined as inflammation or burning sensation at the arch of the foot. Arch pain is caused by plantar fasciitis. Plantar fascia is a thick tissue on the bottom of the foot which connects to heel bone and form arch of the foot. When this tissue becomes swollen, this is known as plantar fasciitis. There are many other factors which cause arch pain like structural imbalance. Generally this arch pain is easily treated. Treatments which include 1. Rest 2. Recommended medication 3. Exercise 4. Physical therapy 5. Occasionally, there might me necessity of surgery.
