Age-related macular degeneration (AMD or ARMD) is said to be the most common cause of vision loss in people aged over 50. It causes a gradual loss of central vision, symptom usually include blurring of central vision despite using glasses meant for site rectification. The AMD presents itself in the early stages of the condition with symptoms such as it may be noticed that the person needs brighter light to read by. The drug formulation compiles of Indian herbs such as Amalaki, Triphala, Tulasi, Spirulina, Punarnava and Shatavari. These herbs are a rich source of vitamins and acts as anti-oxidants and also the consumption of yellow vegetables such as carrot is advised which is rich in carotene.
