Hemostasis using Gelatin-based Hemostatic-Matrix in Pediatric Tonsillectomy and/or Adenoidectomy

Seventy five children were enrolled (48 male and 27 female) with average age of 3.80 ± 2.14 years. Sixty six underwent tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, seven tonsillectomy alone and two adenoidectomy alone; by same surgeon and same procedures. Surgiflo was applied for 214 surfaces with an average of 2.85 surfaces/patient via an applicator tip connected to the 12 ml syringe pre- filled with Surgiflo mixed with 5 ml normal saline.
