Cynoscion parvipinnis

This species is relatively widespread in the Eastern Pacific, but some of the northern records in its distribution may represent misidentifications. It is primarily threatened by intensive fishing activities in the Gulf of California, where the majority of its population likely occurs.This demersal species inhabits shallow inshore sandy and muddy areas, although it can be found to 100 m depth. It feeds mainly on small fishes.
