Behcet’s disease is a multisystem chronic autoimmune disease that involves inflammation of blood vessels, in entire body. It is a rare autoimmune disease, which is commonly found in eastern Asia and eastern Mediterranean countries. More young men are affected by this disease when compared to women in those countries, whereas in United States it affects more women of 20-30 years. This disease mostly involves central nervous system, heart, and intestinal tract. As this is rare disease, its symptoms overlap with other diseases, and hence it becomes difficult to diagnose.
