Piebaldism
Piebaldism is an autosomal disorder that leads to abnormal melanocyte development and leads to depigmented patches of skin and forehead. This is a neurocutaneous disorder that causes light spots in the body. The disease is found in association with other conditions such as Grover disease, Hirschprung disease, Diamond-Blackfan anemia, etc. The molecular basis of the disease is due to dominant mutation in the KIT proto-oncogene.
