All cervical cancer patients treated in our department conventionally received external beam radiotherapy comprising 25 fractions of 1.8 Gy to the whole pelvis followed by 3 to 5 fractions of 1.8 Gy to the sidewall as a boost. Brachytherapy was initiated after completion of external beam therapy.
