This study focused on analyzing Thailand’s readiness in telecommunications dealings in comparison with other AEC countries, which are Cambodia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia, with the objectives of defining the important factors from the results of the comparison of the readiness rankings of the infrastructure as well as analyzing the relevant causes and finding out the weaknesses and the strengths of Thailand’s telecommunications structure. The study provided additional information on various factors for making decisions, setting goals and planning for the readiness of Thailand’s telecommunications dealings. The data can be used for telecommunications cooperation among AEC members and for becoming a leader in telecommunications at the approach of AEC in 2015.
