In the tensile tests for tensile strengthening evaluation, the tensile properties of basalt-fiber reinforced polymers (BFRP) are found to be equivalent to glass-fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP). For flexural strengthening values, the basalt fiber strengthening improved both the ultimate flexural strength and residual strength in the flexural tests at different temperatures. In contrast to GFRP, BFRP flexural strength reduction is very minimal at higher temperatures. See more
