Heavy metal ions are intensively polluting water is a major environmental problem and removal of those ions is highly important because of their toxic nature. In this present study, carbonized sawdust was impregnated with poly (sodium 4-styrene sulphonate) (PSSS) to enhance the metal affinity and selectivity via surface chelating ion-exchange as well as hydrogen bonding adsorption mechanism. An adsorbent characteristic was analyzed through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and BET analysis. Read More
