Music refers to the art of blending sounds in such a manner that it is pleasing to listen to; it is an “organized sound”. Bloom wrote that “we are in the era of music and the state of mind which accompanies it”. Youths and teenagers in the age group of 10-20 years are attracted to music which constitutes to them a passion, a primordial object of enthusiasm and their reason for existence at the moment . Each era and each age group have their preferences in terms of types and brands of music. The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of music or song on the emotions of teenagers in Benin in order to ameliorate their mental healthcare using this channel.
