Depending on the requirement of enterprise, several types of information systems have been improved for various goals. A study in attempted to demonstrate the role of each type of information systems in firms’ organizations. As Figure 1 shows, according to O’Brien and Marakas the applications of information systems that are implemented in today’s business world can be classified in several different ways. In enterprises world, there are varieties of information systems such as, Office Automation Systems (OAS), Expert System (ES), Transaction Processing Systems (TPS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Executive Information Systems (EIS), Decision Support System (DSS), etc. Each type of information system has a specific objective in management operations and in organizational hierarchy.
